Early Learning Centre on the way for Big White Mountain – with your help!

Big White Ski Resort is proud to be working with Insure Wealth Group and the Big White Community Development Association to raise funds for an Early Learning Centre at Big White. The goal is to launch the new centre – catering to children aged 18 months to five years old – this Fall, but in order to balance the budget in this first year, recruit new kids to attend, and get this great project up and running, the Big White Mountain Community Development Association needs to raise at least $5,000.

So far, the group’s Go Fund Me page has raised over $4,000 towards the cause – in part, thanks to support from Insure Wealth Group and Big White Ski Resort.

The Big White Mountain Community Development Association says the Early Learning Centre will allow new families to move here, businesses to grow with new employees, real estate to sell, and the youngest on-mountain residents to have a quality pre-school experience without leaving the mountain. The association has already approved space within the community school, with necessary refits complete, and a teacher has been recruited.

Currently, the Association says, the almost 60 km daily drive each way for that age of children is too far to make it a viable option for the many young parents on the mountain. It is also a barrier for those who wish to relocate to the mountain for longterm work, and for entrepreneurs looking to establish businesses.

As part of the campaign, Big White is giving away two adult season passes through Insure Wealth Group. People must enter between October 1 and 17. Learn more.
