Big White Ski Resort is excited to announce the significant increase in WestJet's nonstop flights between Toronto and Kelowna for the upcoming winter season.

With the addition of two more nonstop flights per week, WestJet's commitment to enhancing connectivity across Canada will greatly benefit travellers heading to the renowned Big White Ski Resort and the Okanagan region.

WestJet's expanded flight schedule, as announced on July 22, will now feature the following nonstop services between Toronto and Kelowna:

Toronto to Kelowna:

  • Sunday, Friday: 20:40-22:38
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 09:00-11:03

Kelowna to Toronto:

  • Sunday, Friday: 23:35-06:35 +1
  • Tuesday, Thursday: 11:55-19:18

This increase in service will provide greater flexibility and convenience for travellers, allowing them to enjoy more time on the slopes and less time in transit.

"We are thrilled with WestJet's decision to double its nonstop service between Toronto and Kelowna," said Michael J Ballingall, Senior Vice President of Big White Ski Resort. "This enhancement in connectivity is a game-changer for Big White Ski Resort and the entire Okanagan region. The increased capacity not only makes it easier for our guests from Eastern Canada to visit but also reinforces Kelowna's status as a premier winter destination. We encourage everyone to take advantage of these new flights. Your support is crucial in ensuring the longevity of this enhanced service."

WestJet's 2024/2025 Winter Schedule announcement highlights a 14% increase in domestic capacity for Kelowna compared to the previous winter. This expanded service is part of WestJet's broader strategy to enhance east-to-west connectivity, offering Canadians more affordable and flexible travel options. With service on 71 unique domestic routes and over 323 daily departures, WestJet's network continues to grow, providing greater accessibility and convenience for travellers.

John Weatherill, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of WestJet Group, stated, "As we bring more seats and affordable fares across our entire network, we are giving Canadians choice and flexibility this winter."

Ballingall explained that Big White Ski Resort would like to invite travellers to take advantage of these new nonstop flights. "Remember, "use it or lose it." Make sure to please help spread the word with your friends and family, and take advantage of the increased connectivity to enjoy all that Big White Ski Resort and the beautiful Okanagan region have to offer."
