Big White Ski Resort's Second Annual Dog Day: A Pawsome Success!

From 11 am to 2 pm the village centre was transformed into a canine paradise, featuring activities and fun for dogs and their owners alike.

A Doggone Good Time
The event was a hit, attracting community members who brought family, friends, and their furry companions to join in the festivities. Here's a look at some of the highlights:

Dog-Sized Pool Party: Pups splashed and played in a specially designed dog pool.

Obstacle Course: Dogs of all sizes showed off their agility and skills.

Paw Print Portraits: Pet parents got to create lasting memories with paw print art.

Best-Dressed Competition: Fashionable pups strutted their stuff, vying for the top prize.

Treat Stations: Plenty of delicious dog treats were available, making tails wag with delight.

Community Spirit and Support
It was heartwarming to see the community come together, not only for a day of fun but also to support a good cause. Local shops and dog-related businesses from Kelowna showed up in full force to back the event. The participation from the community directly supports Paws it Forward's life-saving mission, helping them continue to rescue, heal, and find loving homes for dogs in need.

Meet the Adoptable Dogs
Paws it Forward brought five delightful dogs to our local community for adoption. Raymond, Rocko, Blush, Pinot, and Casper mingled with the crowd, creating a loving and positive atmosphere in the Village. The Paws it Forward team received many adoption applications, which they will review. If you could be a match for a pooch, please apply today through the Paws it Forward website.

Fundraising Success
Thanks to the involvement of the community, we raised $540 through the purchase of Pet Passes and participation in our Dog Day activities. These generous donations will empower Paws it Forward to continue their critical work.

Entertainment and Activities

Nevaeh Dyson kept the tails wagging with live music as part of our Summer Music Series. Meanwhile, The Woods hosted an Olympic viewing party on their dog-friendly patio. Many families and their pups also enjoyed our sightseeing chairlift ride and hiked the trails lined with beautiful wildflowers.
