Santa's Candy Kitchen

A sweet new holiday tradition is coming to Big White.

On Monday, December 22nd, join Eric and Kerri Mitchell at the Happy Valley Day Lodge for the first-ever Big White Candy Cane Party - an interactive, hands-on experience where guests of all age can learn the art of candy cane making.

For the Mitchell family, candy cane making has been a beloved Christmas tradition for four generations. It all began back in 1962 on a dairy farm near Bakersfield, California, when's Eric's father and grandfather first learned the craft and turned it into a community celebration. Over the years, their Canady Cane Parties became a cherished annual event - and now, that tradition continues in the snowy heart of Big White.

Each 2-hour session invites up to 36 participants to twist, pull, and shape their own peppermint candy canes while learning the sweet story behind this festive family pastime. Sessions run at 1:00pm, 3:15pm, and 5:30pm, and tickets are just $17 per person.

This interactive experience is a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays, meet new friends, and embrace the sweet spirit of Christmas.
