Detailed Forecast

Mostly cloudy with scattered flurries expected over the day today, and intensifying to overcast with period of snow tonight, then tapering down to mostly cloudy with scattered flurries tomorrow, bringing up to 6-12 cm of snowfall accumulations possible today through tomorrow. Ridge winds near 25-35 km/h gusting to 40-50 km/h from the SSW are also expected over much of today and tonight, then diminishing to the WSW-WNW near 15-25 km/h gusting to 30-40 km/h tomorrow. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to the range of 1000-1500 m are expected today through tomorrow.

Synopsis

A series of weak disturbances moving through the region is expected to bring scattered flurries over the day today, and periods of snow tonight, then backing to scattered flurries tomorrow. Moderate to strong ridge winds are also expected today and tonight, then easing to light-moderate tomorrow. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to 1000-1500 m are expected today through tomorrow.

3 to 5 Day Outlook

A ridge of high pressure building up over the region is expected to bring mainly clear and dry conditions Sunday and Monday, except with isolated flurries Monday evening, then followed with light snow on Tuesday due to a weak disturbance approaching the area. Mostly light ridge winds are also expected Sunday through Tuesday. Meanwhile, freezing levels up to 1000-1600 m are expected through much of the outlook period.
