Pass Purchase, Collection, and Renewal
Q: Why as a long-time season passholder, do I need to pay the $20 card fee?
A: Big White Ski Resort is committed to reducing our carbon footprint by reusing our reloadable season pass card as long as possible. The chip contained inside your pass has a limited lifespan and will deteriorate over time. There are also costs associated with purchasing the new media. If you received new media last season you can reload it again this season.
Q: How do I save the additional $20 card fee on my next pass?
A: Don’t lose it! Reuse it! At the end of this season keep your season pass in a safe place. When reloading next season the system will automatically recognize the most recent active season pass on file and reload it with the new season.
Q: Do I have to pay a deposit to use the payment plan?
A: Yes. The deposit locks you in to the payment plan price at time of purchase. The deposit is deducted from the total pass price and the remaining balance is spilt into equal payments.
Q: Can I reload my season pass?
A: Yes if you purchased a new media last season. When purchasing online the system will automatically select the reload option if you have a pass eligible for reload. Passes have a limited lifespan. This is due to the life span of the physical media and liability waiver requirements. Once you have successfully reloaded your pass you can proceed direct to the chairlifts once the resort opens. If the system will not let you select the reload option, you must purchase new media.
Q: I did not have a season pass last season, can I reload an old season pass?
A: No. You will need to purchase new media.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: In the ticket office we accept, debit, credit cards, Big White gift cards and cash. All online purchases can be made using Credit Cards, Big White Gift Cards & Credits. We do not accept debit/cheques for the payment plan. Payment plans can only be purchased online with a credit card.
Q: Do I need a new photo?
A: You do not need a new photo if you are renewing your season pass. All new passholders will need to provide a photo online or have their photo taken at the ticket office when they pick up their pass.
Q: What if I change the age category before or during the ski season?
A: All age category cut-off dates are based on the date you purchase your pass.
Q: What if I change the age category before or during the ski season?

Additional Information
Q: Why should I buy a pass at Big White?
A: Less Lift Lines, More Ski Lines! With Canada’s second largest lift system you can spend more time enjoying our 119 runs. Start your day at one of 7 access points and enjoy free day parking around the resort. The fun doesn’t end when the sun goes down, Big white is home to western Canada’s largest night skiing area open 5 days a week. There is also tubing, ice skating, carnival night, and weekly firework displays. Passholders also receive exclusive discounts around the resort.
Q: Why has the price increased?
A: The price of an adult season pass has increased $50 from last season ($949-$999). The price increase reflects our continued investment in resort infrastructure and improvements. At $999 for an adult, Big White’s Early Bird season pass is the most affordable season pass in North America when compared to the size of the resort. There's not a better deal in the market. It only takes 5 days of use to pay off your season pass (compared to a peak season window ticket).
Q: Does Big White offer a Family Season Pass?
A: Big White no longer offers the family discount. We changed our season pass pricing structure in the 2016-17 season and no longer offered the family discount. That season we offered all of our passholders the family pricing regardless of how many members resided in a household as everyone is family at Big White. The pricing you see today is based on our family season pass prices, but we no longer refer to it in this way as we strive to be more inclusive and fairer to all of our passholders.

A: Yes. Add the rentals to the season pass purchase (when available) or purchase rentals separately after the season pass purchase has been completed.
