Overnight RV Parking

RV travellers looking for an affordable, hassle-free alpine escape can wake up to cool mountain air at 5,500 ft and stay just moments from all of Big White’s summer activities. Park your self-contained RV or camper in the Black Forest parking area and enjoy a budget-friendly basecamp with quick access to downhill biking, hiking, disc golf, scenic chairlift rides, and on-mountain dining. Just 24 km up the paved Big White Road from Highway 33 and a short walk or 2-minute drive to the Village, this no-frills, first-come-first-served RV area is ideal for guests who want low-cost camping with high-value adventure, free Village parking, nearby washroom facilities on select days, and relaxed evenings unwinding under the stars.

Please note: No tent camping and no hookups. This lot is only suited to self-contained RVs or vehicle campers.

Season and Availability

  • Operating dates: Thursday, July 1 – Sunday, September 6
  • Bookings: Thursday–Sunday nights. Online booking will open in June.
  • Maximum stay: 4 consecutive nights (Thursday–Sunday, departing Monday; some exclusions and exceptions may apply)

Rates

  • Overnight RV parking stall: $15 per night
  • Rates do not include applicable Canadian taxes and resort fees.

Site Details

  • No assigned stalls; parking is first come, first served.
  • Please park with consideration and leave adequate room for other RVs.
  • Alpine conditions can change quickly, so be prepared for cool nights and variable weather.

Booking Regulations and Policies

  • At least one person in the group must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Maximum six people per RV stall, including children.
  • Full payment is required at the time of booking.
  • Cancellations: Allowed up to 48 hours before arrival without penalty.

Facilities and On-site Rules

  • No dumping station on-site – please plan to use an approved RV dump elsewhere.
  • No garbage or recycling – pack out everything you pack in.
  • No motorized recreational vehicles (ATVs, dirt bikes, etc.). Vehicles must remain within the parking lot.
  • Pets must be on a leash and under control at all times.
  • No alcohol consumption in public areas such as hiking trails or resort common spaces (in line with BC regulations).

Washrooms:

  • Black Forest outdoor washroom facility
  • Open Thursday–Sunday only and cleaned regularly on those days.

Activities Nearby

From the RV parking area, you’re just minutes from Big White’s summer offerings. After a full day in the Okanagan alpine, head back to your RV and enjoy a quiet evening under the stars.

Safety, Environment and Wildlife

  • No smoking anywhere in the alpine, on hiking trails, or on chairlifts due to high forest fire risk.
  • Stay on designated trails to protect the fragile mountain ecosystem; do not pick wildflowers.
  • Do not feed wildlife or leave food or food waste outside – it can attract bears and other animals.

Bear awareness:

  • Store food, garbage, and cooking gear securely inside your RV.
  • Never approach or feed bears.
  • Hike and bike with others and make noise to avoid surprise encounters.
