With the devastating flooding in British Columbia’s southern interior and the closing of the main artery to non-essential travel between the coast and Big White Ski Resort, getting to Canada’s Favourite Family Resort by car has become a bit trickier.

Big White Ski Resort is now officially open for hiking, biking, and NEW this summer, a 9-hole disc golf course! Big White Ski Resort Ltd Senior Vice President, Michael J. Ballingall and the Loose Moose were on hand Thursday, July 1, for the grand opening of the new course, which is located between the main Village and Happy Valley.

Big White Ski Resort wants to thank all of our Kelowna-area and on-mountain friends and team members for joining us this past Saturday, June 12, for our annual Community Clean-Up. Over 165 people flowed through the resort to help tidy up the litter left behind after the snow melted.

I just want to reach out and say thank you to all our staff this season. It doesn’t matter whether you were de-icing lifts or pouring coffees, you helped Big White get through its most complicated and toughest season ever. The effort that everyone has made to keep the resort safe and running has been monumental. You did it and we got there. Thank you.

Big White Ski Resort Ltd has made the difficult decision to close for the season on Monday, April 5 at 4pm, six days earlier than the scheduled date of April 11, to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and the recent surge in P.1 variant cases in British Columbia.
