Big White's Big Snow Day: 35cm in 12 hours!

Unfortunately, this season, we haven't been blessed with a lot of the white stuff. And so we've spent the last few weeks snow-dancing, praying to the snow gods and sacrificing mountain staff to the gods watching the snow forecast with eager eyes.

It worked for us. On Tuesday night, it finally arrived. 35cm of snow in 12 hours. 43cm of snow in 24 hours. In a short period of time, we moved right on up to a 61cm snow base - enough to open the resort this weekend.

Wednesday was the snow day to beat all snow days - especially considering that the power was out for most of Wednesday morning, mountain-wide, due to the snow storm.
